energies of two full moons .one of which at the beginning and the super full blue moon being at the ending of january. heralding the entrance of powerful and vibrant energies with many possibilities and opportunities for all to focus on for this infolding year. on reflection, i look back through an amazing 2017 and events that influenced my work and choices with sound for healing throughout last year. having experienced a serene audience and day’s teachings with a group of people gathered with geshe |lama ahbey tulku rinpoche, third in line to his holiness the dalai lama. who had played my antique tibetan singing bowl during the course of the day which was then blessed by the lama in a personal ceremony towards the day’s end. the medicine buddha healing ceremony and practice of the day, was to play a major part and influence me personally and in my working practice. shortly after that and quite unexpectedly, a new sounding bowl drew my attention and the possibilities of me being able to add this style of sounding bowl for me to work with alongside a number of other sounding bowls i’ve worked with since 2007 unfolded. my musical involvement in the peace mala educational charity event back in july last year of the international inter faith liturgy for world peace at llandaff cathedral, was a wonderful enriching experience for me. which allowed observing and being witness to the very diverse practices and expressions through sound and intentions with vocal and musical expression and ceremony throughout the whole event. from primary school children singing with all of their hearts in celebrations and witness sheikh ahmad dede with his haqqani-mevlevi dervishes and musicians performing “oceans of love “ of the shufi order , was truly a serene experience to name but one of many of that day and event. my new bridging sounding bowl arrived the following month and having connected and experienced the sound resonance from within this tree of life now referred to by myself. as this special bowl does have the configuration of a tree clearly visible within the heart of this amazingly tonal sounding bowl. resulting in my being inspired to create and formulate a programme of therapy .this therapeutic sound healing technique is now in continued development with ongoing research through case studies for evaluating sounding bowls effects to help alleviate many health conditions , both physically and emotionally. in fact the nhs to quote tobias kaye ,founder and maker of sounding bowls writes, “ since 1991 the british national health service has been the major user.” in november of last year i also attended the college of sound healing conference with chloe goodchild world reknown teacher and founder of "the naked voice " who was the main speaker of the weekend event. following on from the successful sessions and growth in popularity as a practice for health and well being of the therapeutic group sound/gong healing meditation sessions restarted and offered to the general public back in september – autumn of 2017. held here at the sound medicine lodge ,dunvant swansea, i am now happy to announce the new schedule of dates and times for this coming year. the first of which happens to fall on the very evening of the super full blue moon on wednesday 31 st january 2018. an auspicious time to begin my continued work and passion for
